American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid Skills Session (Blended)

The Heartsaver® First Aid Skills Session (Blended) is the hands-on portion of the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid course. This course is designed for individuals who have completed the online Heartsaver First Aid eLearning module (Part 1) and need to demonstrate their skills in person to receive full AHA certification.

During this instructor-led session, participants will practice and demonstrate key first aid skills, including:

  • Recognizing and responding to medical emergencies

  • Injury and environmental emergency management

  • Proper use of protective barriers

  • Scene safety and victim assessment

Upon successful completion of this in-person skills evaluation, participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid eCard, valid for two years.

Prerequisite: Completion of the online Heartsaver First Aid (Part 1) course through the American Heart Association’s eLearning platform. Participants must bring their completion certificate to the skills session.

Course Format:

  • Blended Learning: Online coursework + in-person skills session

  • Duration: Approximately 30–45 minutes

  • Certification: AHA Heartsaver® First Aid (valid for 2 years)

Please note: In accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) policy, each class must have a minimum of three (3) students. If enrollment does not meet this requirement, we may need to reschedule your session to the next available date. This ensures compliance with AHA guidelines.
